The role of in utero exposure to smoking on infant growth, lung function and respiratory health

This thesis is divided into four different research articles (Chapters Three to Six). Each study was instigated by the desire to produce new information that can aid in translating discoveries into improved strategies for the prevention and early identification of infants at risk of poor lung health who were born to mothers who smoked during pregnancy.
