The National Schools Chaplaincy Program, as conducted in New South Wales Public Schools, is affected by secularism, pluralism and values education in State Education. Chaplains as educators may harness the dynamics of innate morality (as found in Natural Law Theory), Spirituality, and Andersen’s psychological theories to enable students to discover fullness in a meaningful life. This thesis examines the interrelationship between each of these elements in order to present a sustainable Chaplaincy Education Program that can assist School Chaplains to negotiate with hard secularists in the Educational environment and provide direction for Chaplains as educators, capable to developing a generalized spirituality in the secular environment.
