This is the first study to explore the experiences and perspectives of dermatologists and trainees in relation to the use of teledermatology for Australian rural areas. This study adds to the growing body of evidence that teledermatology is a useful adjunctive tool to address workforce maldistribution and improve dermatological services for residents of rural areas.
