thesis
posted on 2025-05-09, 22:02 authored by Stephen Ridley Smith
Skin preparation agents are used to disinfect the skin prior to surgical incision in order to minimise surgical site infection. This thesis aims to compare the efficacy and cost effectiveness of the commonly used antiseptic skin preparation agents with respect to subsequent surgical site infection. It also presents an updated systematic review and network meta-analysis on the efficacy of skin preparation agents.
