Risk factors for impaired lung function and the onset of respiratory disease in early life

The overall aim of the Thesis is to better understand lung function and its predictors in childhood. The thesis was divided in three main aims: 1. To determine the association between asthma in pregnancy and lung function parameters in infants at 6 weeks of age; 2. To investigate the relationship between T2-high immune response biomarkers in cord blood and lung function parameters of infants born to asthmatic mothers; 3. To describe nurse-led management and lung function parameters of children with severe uncontrolled asthma.
