A fantastic symphony: the life of Henri Verbrugghen

This Thesis will examine the life and work of Henri Verbrugghen. This work will chart his career as a solo violinist, chamber musician, orchestral violinist, symphony conductor, and music educator. Substantial evaluation of his work as the first Director of the NSW State Conservatorium of Music, and the second Music Director of the Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra is included. A critical evaluation of Verbrugghen's work as a musician and conductor is also included.
