We wrote this paper in an easy to read way. We also use pictures to explain some ideas. We did this research because we think it is important to create more jobs for people with disability and care about someone’s lived experience when they apply for a job. This research paper is about the disability sector workforce. The workforce has grown a lot since the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) started. But there aren’t a lot of people with disability who work in the workforce. We found that there were some jobs for people to use their lived experience to teach others. Most of these jobs were about mental health. We think there need to be more jobs in the workforce for people with disability. We think that people with disability need to have a say in what these jobs look like.
