The Personality Based Eating Awareness Program for Young Adults is a modified version of the original program developed by the TRACE Dietetics team at the University of Newcastle. Created specifically for young adults, in consultation with health professionals and young adult consumers, the program offers a personalised approach, based on personality traits, to support young adults in improving their symptoms of addictive eating and dietary intake. Based on scientific research, the workbook contains five modules that young adults can work through at their own pace or be complemented by face-to-face sessions with a dietitian. The modules cover practical information for understanding addictive eating behaviours and provides a range of skill-building and goal setting exercises with the aim to create eating awareness. The program will assist individuals in creating an ‘Addictive Eating Action Plan’ and in improving their relationship with food.
