Concrete Tuesday contains two new sequences - the stunning “Grace”, which won the Josephine Ulrick Prize in 2008 and tells the story, backwards, of a man who loses his soul, and “The Poet’s House”, which was shortlisted for the Newcastle Poetry Prize in 2004 and which satirises the figure of an unnamed poet whose house has been turned into a museum on Sydney Harbour. In addition to these there are several new poems, some on the familiar theme of water and others on the theme of irretrievable loss.
