Update on the national work health and safety harmonisation process

Readers of this bulletin will be aware of the proposal to introduce nationally “harmonised” workplace health and safety legislation from 1 January 2012. 1 This article aims to provide a brief overview of the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Cth) (WHSA) and an outline of the current status of the implementation.
