Rhinoscleroma in Zambia

Three cases of rhinoscleroma have been seen in Zambia over an eight year period. These are the first cases reported from Zambia where the disease was previously thought not to exist. The presence of these cases would indicate that rhinoscleroma is endemic in Zambia and awareness of the disease may bring to light the actual prevalence in this region of Africa.
