Apéry's theorem: thirty years after

We present a new, rather elementary, proof of the irrationality of ζ(3) based on some recent ‘hypergeometric’ ideas of Yu. Nesterenko, T. Rivoal, and K. Ball, as well as on the Gosper–Zeilberger algorithm of creative telescoping.
