This paper provides examples of a method to engage and inform a student. The method is based on enabling students to uncover, by themselves, what they did not realise they already knew. The technique mvolves the students answering a series of questions which ultimately results in the student explaining a concept or method in lieu of simply bemg told by the lecturer. This helps to lessen the mystery that otherwise acts as a barner to students' understanding of, and progression through, the field of Statistics.
