Study of interdependency between the HSDPA air interface and the radio access network

Khan, Brendan JonesThis paper analyzes the interdependence between the Iub link characteristics and the HSDPA air interface performance using analytical and simulation techniques. The impact of the Node-B scheduling mechanisms are also investigated in this paper. A Markov chain based analytical model and a simulation model is used to obtain HSDPA air interface performance results.
