A case-study of evaluating nine u₂ CPTu dissipation tests (I to V types) of small t₅₀ with 3 published methods is presented. One method is a one-point fitting method, based on Ir and t₅₀. The two newer methods implies automatic, multi-point curve fitting, with output for not only c but also for the initial condition, the parameter error and some reliability information. The results indicate that the dissipation tests are good tools to identify soil property/layer boundary information, the new methods can be used to study the partly drained penetration and to get c value using tests shorter than the t₅₀ testing time.
