Spaxels (space + pixels) consists of computer programmed LED-equipped (Light Emitting Diode) quadcopters launched into physcial environments which can be urban, natural or both. The quodcotpers are generated by algorithms to make up a drone swarm that can “draw” three-dimensional figures in mid air above the audience’s heads. This research has been shown in Europe, Australia and in several Arabic countries. A recent iteration was in a presentation at the Brisbane Festival's Robotronica (2013)
