Graham Robertson (1866-1948) was a well known painter, and was best known for his children's books and their illustration. He was a close friend of Ellen Terry. Mrs. Patrick Campbell (1865-1940) became identified with the Society Dramas of Pinero and Jones in the 1890s but her interests were many. She was the first English Melisande in Maeterlinck's Pelleas and Melisande (1897) and played in Ibsen's Little Eyolf (1896) and Hedda Gabler (1907). She also created the role of Eliza in Shaw's Pygmalion (1914).
